Weezer Share 'Everything Will Be Alright in the End' Album Art

BY Alex HudsonPublished Jul 2, 2014

Weezer's last couple of albums have featured some very silly cover art, and the impending Everything Will Be Alright in the End is no exception. The band have released the artwork as part of their latest teaser video.

That's the image above. It features a pre-existing painting called "Mountain Monster" by Chris McMahon, an artist who turned some heads on Reddit a few years ago by adding monsters to landscape paintings purchased at yard sales (check out more here). Add some very Where the Wild Things Are-esque font and voilà! The artwork is also up on the band's blog.

The clip includes some cryptic imagery and shots of Weezer, and features a clip of a song called "My Mystery" that builds up from restrained piano chords to a power pop crescendo. Check it out below.

Everything Will Be Alright in the End's release date hasn't yet been announced. We've heard numerous clips of music, but a full studio cut has yet to emerge.
