Weezer Cruise to Include Wedding Vow Renewals, Bellyflop Contest, Shuffleboard Tournament

Weezer have been up to some crazy and occasionally lame shenanigans in recent years, but we have to admit that the upcoming Weezer Cruise sounds pretty cool. This four-day boat trip, which runs from January 19 to 23 and sails from Miami to Mexico, includes performances from acts like Dinosaur Jr., Wavves, the Antlers, Sebadoh, Free Energy and Yuck. But possibly even more awesome than the bands are the non-musical activities onboard.

As Consequence of Sound points out, married couples can have their wedding vows renewed courtesy of bassist Scott Shriner. Fans can also face off against Pat Wilson in a shuffleboard tournament or attend a midnight movie with a pajama-wearing guitarist Brian Bell. As for frontman Rivers Cuomo, his personal activity is a little less outrageous -- he'll be reading selections from his book The Pinkerton Diaries.

Other highlights include (deep breath): ugly sweater night, a casino, spa services, a waterside, free 24-hour room service, an exclusive Q&A session, Weezer karaoke, trivia, cannonball and belly flop contests, and a photo opportunity with Weezer.

As for Weezer's musical performances, they'll be playing the Blue Album and Pinkerton in full, plus showcasing some rarities. They've also promised to play the classic B-side "Mykel and Carli," which they haven't done since 1997.

See a fittingly ridiculous trailer for the event below and check out the hefty pricing options over at the cruise website.
