The Weeknd Announces North American Tour, Heads to Vancouver
We had an inkling that the Weeknd would be announcing a full-scale tour in 2012, what with his festival gigs and newly recruited live band. Sure enough, the Toronto R&B sensation also known as Abel Tesfaye just announced that he'll be touring North America this spring.

The bulk of the dates take place in the U.S., but it also includes his first-ever Vancouver show, which will take place at the Commodore Ballroom on May 12. As previously announced, there's also a Montreal performance at Osheaga later in the summer.

The Weeknd has yet to announce the details of the mixtape trilogy box set that he promised us late last year, but for now, these new tour dates should be more than enough to satisfy.
