The Wedding Present Reveal 'Valentina' Album

BY Josiah HughesPublished Jan 18, 2012

British twee mainstays the Wedding Present recently revealed plans to tour for the 21st anniversary of their seminal LP Seamonsters. But the band will soon be celebrating more than just that, as they will also have a new studio album out by then.

Called Valentina, the release will mark the first new material from the band since 2008's El Rey. The album was recorded at various locations in France, England and California in 2011, and it was mixed by Andrew Scheps (Metallica, Iggy Pop, Johnny Cash).

Valentina will be available on March 20 via the band's own Scopitone imprint, with a North American vinyl release dropping via This Will Be Our Summer. Be sure to also check out the band's previously announced tour dates below, including stops in Toronto and Vancouver.
