Weaves released their debut EP this spring, and the Toronto alt-rockers have since pressed ahead with a remix collection and, now, a new single.
"Shithole" will take listeners back to the golden era of grunge with its low-end chug, barbed guitar grit, and lyrical references to teenage angst and "living in a shithole." And yet, despite the track's gloom and tension, there's a hint of bouncy brightness to the melody.
The single is officially coming out on October 20 on Buzz Records. Scroll past Weaves' tour schedule to hear it.
Tour dates:
10/22 Brooklyn, NY - Trans-Pecos (CMJ) *
10/23 Brooklyn, NY - Shea Stadium (CMY) ^#
11/19-22 Montreal, QC - M for Montreal
12/06 Toronto, ON - The Garrison ~#
* with Beta Frontiers
^ with HSY, Mexican Slang
# with the Beverleys
