The Weakerthans to Play Four Albums at Four Winnipeg Shows

BY Josiah HughesPublished Aug 24, 2010

From John K. Samson's series of Manitoba-centric seven-inches to a documentary and live album set in their hometown, there's no question that the Weakerthans and Winnipeg go together like some strange married couple. Just like any long-going relationship, however, the Weakerthans need to keep things interesting for their love to stay afloat. That's why they've announced a four-night Winnipeg jaunt this December, when each night they will perform a different Weakerthans album.

The band announced the news on their website with the following statement:

Hi Friends! We are excited to announce that we are playing 4 shows here in Winnipeg this coming December! Each night, we'll be playing at a different venue, performing a different record, plus other favourite songs. All told, we will be performing nearly all of our songs in 4 nights, don't miss out on these special shows!
