Wavves' Nathan Williams Busted with Weed and Arrested in Germany
As Wavves fans know all too well, frontman Nathan Williams enjoys partaking in marijuana. The Californian fuzz rocker even went as far as making weed grinders to sell at his merch table. Now, his love of the sticky icky has got him in trouble with German police, as he was arrested Thursday (November 18) while touring Europe.

Here's a statement from Williams, via Pitchfork:

"We got stopped at a roadside check and I had six bags in the car and they only found one -- the fucking dogs never work. I bet it's high from all the fumes. Anyways, they put me in a cell which was a little nerve-wracking. More so because I was an American in a German jail and not because I have long gay hair. I did wrestle for four years in high school, so I could have fucked somebody up. So yeah, then I gave em €200 and walked out... not a terrible deal. And now I'm getting high again."

The debacle inspired some tweets from Williams and his Best Coast girlfriend Bethany Cosentino. Williams wrote "Arrested in Germany by a guy w/ a Metallica patch on his Polizei jacket. Out on bail fresh out of jail Munich dreamin' #ridethelightning," to which Cosentino replied, "HANG IN THERE BOO #FREEWILLIAMS http://plixi.com/p/57895170."

Williams and Cosentino should have no problem scoring some potent BC bud when they play in Vancouver on their North American tour this spring. All of the, er, joint tour dates are available here.
