Published Dec 28, 2016After travelling the globe on her "1989 World Tour" throughout 2015, this year saw Taylor Swift laying relatively low (but still getting paid to do so). She's been stepping back out into the spotlight a bit in recent weeks, releasing her Zayn collaboration for the upcoming Fifty Shades Darker soundtrack, and over the Christmas holiday, she sort of made her return to the live stage too.
The singer surprised a 96-year-old vet and Swift superfan with a special living room concert on Monday (December 26). The intimate performance took place at World War II veteran Cyrus Porter's house in New Madrid, MO.
Swift hung out with Porter and his family, performing an acoustic rendition of "Shake It Off" and taking plenty of selfies with the family.
"Couldn't have been any better," Porter told local news. "You call it a Christmas treat I guess."
