Watch Taylor Swift Perform Calvin Harris and Rihanna's "This Is What You Came For" for the First Time

Calvin Harris and Rihanna teamed up on "This Is What You Came For" earlier this year, but the smash single wasn't penned by either of the featured artists. That's right, it was written by pop princess (and Harris' very public ex) Taylor Swift — and she decided to work it into her live set for the first time last night (October 22).

Swift performed at Austin's Formula One United States Grand Prix, marking the singer-songwriter's sole live show in 2016 (after a very busy 2015). She announced: "I've never played this song live before," then launched into a sparse, piano-accompanied rendition of the usually dancefloor-friendly track.

As previously reported, Swift secretly co-wrote the song under the pseudonym Nils Sojberg, though the truth made its way into the Twittersphere back in July. Harris revealed the songwriter's identity and described Swift as an "amazing lyric writer," going on to say that "she smashed it as usual."
