Watch Taylor Swift Accept a Giant Middle Finger Trophy While Drinking Wine at the NME Awards

Taylor Swift seems to be embracing her life as a part-time London resident, attending the NME Awards last night (February 12) to accept the Best Solo Act in the World trophy — which, by the way, is a giant bronze middle finger.

The Lover singer accepted the award from Robyn with a glass of wine in hand, thanking Robyn and the other artists in attendance for inspiring her.

Swift went on to say that her previous NME Award (for which she didn't attend the ceremony) is currently in her kitchen and serves as a daily ego check.

"I put it in my kitchen, and every single morning when I wake up and go downstairs, there is this middle finger in my face like, 'Good morning!'" she said. "Just a full middle finger putting me in my place: good morning. So it's amazing to have a matching set."

Swift continued, "I want to say thank you so much to anyone who writes about music, who blogs about music, who tweets about music, who cares about music. But most of all, I want to say thank you to the fans because they are the only reason that I get to do this."

Swift also noted that the NME Awards were "the craziest award show I have ever been to" before taking another swig of wine and leaving the stage.
