Hotly-tipped newcomers Vampire Weekend have caused a ruckus in 2007 with their shrewd Afro-inspired pop, but many have scratched their heads over where they got that awesome/terrible name of theirs. Turns out it was the title of vocalist/guitarist Ezra Koenig's indie flick that never quite made it to the cinemas thanks to this band he's currently taking 'round the world. Judging by the page views on YouTube, the trailer for the film is still somewhat of a secret, unlike the band, who will be making two sure-to-be-sold-out Canadian stops this week: in Toronto on Thursday, December 13 at the El Mocambo and in Montreal on Friday, December 14 at Club Lambi.
