Metallica are no strangers to putting their own weird spin on anthemic tunes, but the band's latest cover is decidedly unexpected. While performing in Manchester, they decided to rack up some Britpop brownie points by dropping a performance of the Stone Roses' hit "I Wanna Be Adored."

On their "WorldWired Tour," Metallica have been busting out unexpected covers. This time around, Kirk Hammett and Robert Trujillo ripped through a guitar and bass rendition of the Britpop tune, with Trujillo handling the vocals.

It's, honestly, a somewhat half-assed cover. But it's also Metallica performing the Stone Roses for a Manchester arena in the rain, so it's certainly worth checking out below.
