Published Jul 05, 2016For their final Fourth of July as the first family of the United States, the Obamas invited some special guests to the White House yesterday (July 4).
Kendrick Lamar and Janelle Monáe both visited the American capital to perform as part of the White House's festive celebration. The former ran through "Money Trees," "Swimming Pools (Drank)," "Bitch Don't Kill My Vibe," "A.D.H.D." and "Alright." Monáe, meanwhile, took the stage for "Tight Rope" and a lively rendition of Prince's "Let's Go Crazy."
But Lamar and Monáe weren't just celebrating their country's independence; the pair of artists stuck around and sung "Happy Birthday" to the president's daughter, Malia, to ring in her 18th year.
