Katy Perry, Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie continue to roam every nook and cranny of their country as they search for the next winner of American Idol. Sometimes, however, that means putting themselves in danger. For example, a recent stop in Oregon resulted in a major disaster following a gas leak at the venue.
ABC shared footage of the disaster with People, and it's available to view below. While they were judging contestants in Sunriver, OR, Perry noticed an odd smell. "I have a slight headache from it," she said. "Oh, it's bad. It's really bad."
Bryan added that he too could smell a "propane" odour before Richie added, "Wow, you can really smell it! Holy crap!"
Things turn to pure chaos when the fire department evacuates the venue. Then, while standing outside, Perry says, "I'm not feeling good" and collapses.
While it could just as likely be one of Perry's characteristic japes, the severity of the situation does suggest that there really was a gas leak at American Idol. Then again, this does double as an ad that encourages viewers to tune in when they share the whole episode on Sunday.
