Published Nov 13, 2016With the world going to shit last week, even Saturday Night Live found it hard to crack jokes last night (November 12). Instead of their usual attempt to make viewers laugh at ridiculous political fodder, the show opened on an uncharacteristically solemn note.
Perfectly amalgamating the disappointment felt by Hillary Clinton supporters and the sadness over Leonard Cohen's death, Kate McKinnon opened the show in her full Clinton get-up, sitting at a piano and delivering a rendition of Cohen's "Hallelujah."
