Watch Iggy Pop and New Order Play Joy Division's "She's Lost Control" at Carnegie Hall

BY Sarah MurphyPublished Mar 17, 2017

Iggy Pop and New Order collaborated on a cut called "Stray Dog" on the latter's 2015 offering Music Complete, and the rock icons joined forces to perform that track and some older favourites last night (March 16).

New Order were performing as part of a show that doubled as a Tibet House US benefit concert and Philip Glass's 80th birthday bash at Carnegie Hall, and they brought out Mr. Pop as one of the evening's many special guests.

After delivering "Stray Dog," Bernard Sumner and co. returned the favour and backed Iggy for his own track "Shades," before treating the audience to a rendition of Joy Division's "She's Lost Control."

Check out plenty of fan-shot footage from the unexpected concert collaboration below.

It's not the first time Iggy Pop and New Order have teamed up on stage at Carnegie Hall to cover Joy Division, though. The pair previously covered "Love Will Tear Us Apart" back in 2014. Revisit footage from that performance below.
