Ahead of releasing her 13th Floor album later this year, Haviah Mighty has now shared the Sean Leon-assisted single "Waves."

Produced by the Toronto MC alongside 2oolman and Young Dreadz, Haviah raps, "Respect is what I'm on and you should know I'ma stay strong / I rev the engine, all I know is go like a Veyron." Leon then slides through with a guest verse, rapping, "For heavens sake I was ready to die working grave shifts / God is gracious, now it's steak with my side and my main bitch."

"Waves" also arrives alongside a video co-directed by Yung Yemi and Shanik, which you can find in the players below. While Leon himself doesn't appear in the clip, his verse is set to some slick choreography.

In a statement, Haviah said the following of the track:

It's funny how this track came together. Initially, I produced this in 2016. Then, in 2018, I showed it to a friend/producer, Young Dreadz, who asked for the stems and really fluffed it up! Later that year, I showed it to 2oolman who essentially sampled some elements of the Young Dreadz/Haviah collab, and it turned into this epic, cinematic, bar-centric record. Finally, I reached out to Sean Leon and felt his voice, sound and style were perfect for this record.

I was feeling myself when I first produced this, so this song became a representation of self confidence, hence the reoccurring 'You must think I'm fly' as if reaffirming that you MUST think so, because I am. Sean Leon's verse then comes in where he raps about his accomplishments, successes and drip. He touches on progression, and briefly visits a short monologue about fear, but then quickly comes back to reality — we're still fly!

Her new album 13th Floor arrives May 10 and also features Clairmont The Second and Omega Mighty. You can pre-order the album here.
