While Chvrches may be gearing up to release their new album Love Is Dead, they are taking time to pay tribute to the Beyhive by covering their untouchable leader Beyoncé.
The Scottish three-piece have delivered a stripped-down cover of Beyoncé's "XO," which originally appeared on her 2013 self-titled album. The redo has come via an intimate performance clip, and as the band explain, they have been tinkering with "XO" for years and even tried to record it a few times in the studio.
Now, though, you can hear Chvrches finally debut their rendition of "XO" below. The results are more than a little moving, to say the least.
As for Love Is Dead, the album is set to arrive May 25 through Glassnote. You can pre-order the album on vinyl via Umusic here.
