Watch Blood Orange's Emotional Performance on 'Conan'

BY Sarah MurphyPublished Aug 24, 2016

Dev Hynes unveiled his latest work as Blood Orange earlier this summer with the arrival of his Freetown Sound LP, and he showed off some of the new material as the musical guest on Conan last night (August 23).

He took the TV studio spotlight and played "Augustine" and "Thank You" from the aforementioned album, accompanied by a piano and a pair of back-up dancers. Propped up in front of his instrument were a series of photographs paying homage to police shooting victims Terrance Mack, Philando Castile and Hande Kader.

Watch Hynes's moving performance on Conan below. You can see his upcoming "Welcome to Freetown" tour dates here.
