Watch Aussie Death Thrashers Truth Corroded's New Video for "Victims Left Lepers"

The whole toilets flushing backwards in Australia ain't true, but Adelaide's Truth Corroded are taking renowned brutal/tech death label Unique Leader Records in a different direction: death thrash. Out March 22, Bloodlands will be only the second proper release from the label since the tragic passing of founder (and Deeds of Flesh guitarist) Erik Lindmark, after Continuum's Designed Obsolescence, and further proves the torch is being carried proudly.

Blazingly fast, replete with trem picking and blast beats, the track takes after bands like Vader, Master, old Sepultura or Misery Index, all of which are great company to keep. The thrash side really rises to the surface towards the end, with a punky groove, over constant double-bass.

As suggested by their band name, the track is political and has the video to match, flashing ferociously through bleak clips, including mutating politicians, to make a statement. Bassist and lyricist Greg Shaw explains the audio/visual assault via a statement.

"'Victims Left Lepers' is a protest against the treatment of asylum seekers in offshore detention and the fear baiting and racist policy pursued by certain politicians for political gain. The clip challenges and ridicules these politicians and provides a historical context and contrast for their deplorable actions to be considered.

You can watch the video in the player below, and if that for some reason isn't enough to win you over, the album also features guest appearances by Stephen Carpenter of Deftones, Terrance Hobbs of Suffocation, Mark Kloeppel of Misery Index and Ryan Knight (ex-the Black Dahlia Murder).
