As previously reported, HBO's new animated show Animals snagged some pretty sweet guest stars for its inaugural season, with A$AP Rocky, A$AP Ferg and Kurt Vile amongst those chosen for musical cameos. Now, footage from the show of Kurt Vile as a squirrel has surfaced online.
The show aims to shine a light on humanity through tales of "downtrodden creatures, lovelorn rats, gender-questioning pigeons or aging bedbugs in the midst of a midlife crisis" — and guitar-wielding squirrels, apparently!
In a new clip, the rodent version of Vile maintains his luscious locks of flowing hair and affinity for denim jackets. He shares his secret stash of mixed nuts with a family of squirrels, then serenades them with a psychedelic song about said snacks.
