Last night (August 27), the MTV Video Music Awards went down a star-studded ceremony that featured plenty of pop music's biggest names and best up-and-comers.
In addition to handing out hardware to Kendrick Lamar (and a couple other artists), the entertainment event also featured some spectacular live performances.
Foreshadowing his successful night, Lamar stole the spotlight from the get-go, opening with a performance of "DNA." and "HUMBLE."
Other memorable moments from the stage included a live vocal-less rendition of "Homemade Dynamite" by Lorde (who was apparently struggling through a bout of the flu), a performance of "Down" by Gucci Mane and Fifth Harmony (who literally blasted former member Camila Cabello off the stage), a career-spanning medley by Video Vanguard winner P!nk, and a grand finale of "Swish Swish" from Katy Perry and Nicki Minaj (that seemed to be taking more shots at a certain red-nailed rival).
Check out those performances and more down below.
