Current Exclaim! cover star Waxahatchee released her stunning new record Tigers Blood last week, and Katie Crutchfield brought some of the album's patient magic to Colbert last night with a performance of lead single "Right Back to It."
Colbert introduced the band as "Waxahatchee featuring MJ Lenderman," which is pretty cool for Lenderman — he was there to provide guitar and his distinctive harmonies, and both he and Crutchfield sounded great.
The backing band included Spencer Tweedy on drums, and the whole performance felt both relaxed and impressively tight.
