The Warped 45s Head Out on Canadian Tour, Plot Sophomore Album

BY Alex HudsonPublished Oct 28, 2010

Last year, Toronto, ON-based folksters the Warped 45s earned a spot on our best of 2009 list with their debut LP, 10 Day Poem for Saskatchewan. The band are now getting ready to begin recording the followup, but before they do, they'll be taking their new material on the road for a cross-Canada tour.

The outing will start in Ontario on Friday (October 29) and will take the group across the country, all the way to Vancouver Island. There are 22 total shows, including some in small towns like Golden, BC and Wabigoon, ON (which had a 2006 population of 417, according to Wikipedia).

Once the tour wraps up on November 27 in Montreal, they will break for Christmas before heading into Green Door Studios with producer John Critchley in January 2011. Critchley has previously worked on albums by big-name Canadian folk rockers like Dan Mangan and Elliott Brood.
