Warpaint Detail Sophomore Album, Share First Single

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Oct 28, 2013

Warpaint recently revealed that their self-titled sophomore set would hit our ears sometime in January, but the Los Angeles art-rock quartet have now come through with some more concrete details. The record officially arrives in North America on January 21 though Rough Trade and a day earlier overseas.

The album, which follows Warpaint's 2010 debut The Fool, began to take shape late last year during some writing and recording sessions in the Joshua Tree, CA. The final product was co-produced by the band and celebrated producer Flood (PJ Harvey, New Order, Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds), with Flood and Nigel Godrich (Radiohead) sharing mixing duties.

The album had previously been teased with a trailer directed by Chris Cunningham, but you can now get the first full sample of the set via a stream of the title track, which you'll find down below.

Also down below are the album's tracklisting and a handful of overseas tour dates, while you'll find the photo melange that serves as Warpaint's cover art up above.
