Warpaint

'Warpaint' (album stream)

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Jan 13, 2014

Warpaint have issued a few sneak peeks of their impeding, much-anticipated self-titled sophomore set, but the band and Exclaim! are now teaming up to stream the entirety of the record ahead of its January 21 due date through Rough Trade.

As previously reported, the California quartet's latest was recorded and mixed by Flood (U2, Nine Inch Nails, PJ Harvey), save a pair of tracks mixed by Radiohead sound whiz Nigel Godrich. Already we've heard the elegant bounce behind the title track, as well as the foggy synth-assisted psych trip "Biggy."

Now, you can also sample the frightening and fuzzed-out gang cries flooding the slinking "Disco//very," spacious late-night ballad "Son" and the juxtaposition of jumpy drum textures and hypnotizing vocals on "Hi," among other tracks.

Following a series of global dates, Warpaint kick off a quick North American tour in March. You'll find all the show details, including a stop at Toronto's Danforth Music Hall on March 25, over here.
