On Friday afternoon (December 16), tragedy struck the rap community when Slim Dunkin, an associate of Waka Flocka Flame and member of Gucci Mane's 1017 Brick Squad crew, was shot and killed in an Atlanta recording studio.

Speaking with the Atlanta Journal Constitution, Police Major Keith Meadows explained that an altercation broke out between Slim Dunkin (born Mario Hamilton) and another unnamed individual. The other person pulled out a gun and shot the 24-year-old Dunkin in the chest.

Police have interviewed eight eyewitnesses, but have yet to produce a suspect. "We're still talking to people... The truth is we don't know exactly what happened," Meadows said. Along with a suspect, police are still looking for the murder weapon.

"WISH IT WAS ME ... MY FUCKING RIGHT HAND IS GONE," Waka Flocka tweeted on Saturday (December 17), adding, "damn I feel dead... all this stress."

Dunkin was also signed to Waka Flocka's Brick Squad Monopoly, and had made multiple appearances on Waka's Flockaveli album, including the single "Fuck the Club Up."
