Baby Monkey is the offspring of a night of drunken revelry in subzero Glaswegian weather by one Moby in 2002. Inspired by an underground party he attended featuring "hard, sexy, straightforward dance music,” Baby Monkey is what eventually surfaced more than nine months later. Apparently, "hard, sexy, straightforward dance music” to Moby means tired, lazy, repetitive dance music. Much like his previous release, 18 B Sides, Moby seems to be operating on autopilot these days. Question: why do my ears feel so bad? Answer: Voodoo Child.
