Voivod Return with 'Target Earth' Album, Sign to Century Media

Keeping busy with live albums and a reissue of their 1984 demo To the Death, Quebecois prog-metal giants Voivod haven't issued an actual studio album since 2009's Infini. That will all change, however, as they've revealed plans for a new record early next year.

The upcoming release is called Target Earth, and while details remain scarce, we know that it will be available on January 22 via the band's new home at Century Media Records.

Speaking on the new deal, the band explained that their own imprint Iron Gang Factory will be partnering with the longstanding metal label.

"Our goal has been to find a partner for Iron Gang Factory to help get new Voivod music to the world and Century Media, we are proud to say, is the right company to do so globally," the band said in a statement. "We can't wait to release, tour, and promote Target Earth."

Stay tuned for more info on Target Earth as it becomes available.
