Vivian Girls Respond to Album Leak with Instant Download

Fuzzy twee punks Vivian Girls have taken a break from starting a million side-projects to complete their third full-length and first for Polyvinyl, Share the Joy. As previously reported, the trio are set to release the album on April 12. Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on your digital morality), the album leaked two months early.

Rather than sit idly while the 11-track album got passed around the Internet, the Girls decided to offer up an instant download of the record for paying fans, announcing on their Twitter that Polyvinyl is offering a free instant download with all pre-orders of the download. "Preorder the album and listen to it RIGHT NOW! Don't get a low quality leak," they wrote.

A pre-order of Share the Joy is available here. The album is available on CD or 180-gram LP, available in black or teal coloured vinyl. The teal colour is limited to 2,000 copies. Once you've pre-ordered, the label will send a download link for the whole album to your email address.
