Published Sep 21, 2010Drummer Fiona Campbell may have recently shifted her priorities from fuzzed-out beach-pop outfit Coasting to the similarly minded, albeit much more celebrated, Vivian Girls, but that isn't stopping her from taking her former fulltime gig on an upcoming road trip.
According to a press release, Coasting - rounded out by fellow multi-tasker Madison Farmer of Dream Diary - will be traveling up the west coast this month in support of recent seven-inch singles released on M'Lady's Records and Group Tightener, respectively. With a single Canadian show booked in Vancouver, the Brooklyn-based bubblegum noise duo will also be showing off a host of new, summery surf-punk numbers to be recorded for an as-of-yet unnamed full length, due next year.
With Vivian Girls' Polyvinyl Records debut Share The Joy slated for a spring 2011 release, this might be the only chance to check out the fun-loving Coasting for a long while.
