As the title to the upcoming Violent Femmes record alludes, the band can do anything. This apparently includes supporting their We Can Do Anything album with a North American tour.
The band begin their world tour behind this latest release next week out in New Zealand, but the North American portion of the itinerary won't start up until May. Though the bulk of the dates take place in the U.S., the trio will add it up for Canadian crowds at Vancouver's Commodore Ballroom on May 15.
For the time being, this is the only Canadian date supporting We Can Do Anything. You'll find the North American schedule down below, while the Femmes' Australian and New Zealand schedule can be found over here.
As previously reported, We Can Do Anything is the group's first release since their Record Store Day-delivered Happy New Year from 2015. It's also the trio's first full-length recording since Freak Magnet — an album that had been set to be released in 1998 but was delayed until 2000 — and the record arrives March 4 via Pias. You can revisit the new track "Memory" at the bottom of the page.
Tour dates:
05/02 Salt Lake City, UT - The Depot
05/03 Tempe, AZ - The Marquee
05/06 San Diego, CA - Humphrey's
05/07 Los Angeles, CA - The Orpheum
