His résumé could've been even more impressive had he booked a role on the hit '90s sitcom Friends. According to the show's casting director, he came super close to booking the role of Joey.
According to The Huffington Post, Vaughn nearly booked the part on the wildly successful sitcom. That said, casting director Ellie Kanner told the publication that he wasn't the right fit.
Though she described him as "handsome and tall" and a "good actor" in her notes, she went on to say that he didn't blend in with the rest of the cast quote like Matt LeBlanc. "That would have been a little different," she said about the prospect of booking Vaughn.
That's not the only Vaughn connection that could've potentially made its way to Central Perk. Rumour has it that his Swingers co-star Jon Favreau also turned down the opportunity to play Justin Trudeau bully Chandler Bing.
