Just short of a week after the audio hit, Cali rapper Vince Staples has unveiled an elaborate short film behind his Prima Donna. Full of hallucinatory cab rides and crazy hotel stays, the 10-minute visual primer for the EP is online now.
Beginning with a video-within-a-video narrative, we first finds Staples working on a clip for Prima Donna closer "Big Time." As he walks off the soundstage and into the night, he has a weird exchange with what he thinks may be a fire-breathing cabbie, but opts to hop in the ride all the same. His destination point is a hotel, where, to the tune of "War Ready," he runs into 2Pac, a guy getting a lap dance, a pushy bell boy, and a ton of screaming fans.
