Viet Cong, Ought, Moon King to Play Edmonton's Up + Downtown Fest

Organizers have just announced the initial lineup for the third edition of Edmonton's annual Up + Downtown Music Festival.

The event hits various Edmonton venues from October 9 to 11 and will include over 70 performers. Now, we get a preview of what's to come with the first batch of acts.

Artists confirmed for the 2015 edition of Up + Downtown include Viet Cong, Earthless, Ought, Humans, Brant Bjork, the Wet Secrets, Moon King, Jerusalem in My Heart, Slates, the Provincial Archive, the Sumner Brothers, Kalle Mattson, No Sinner, the Highway Kind, Duplekita, Artisan Loyalist, Chron Goblin, Sóley, Snorri Helgason, Pétur Ben, KYS the Sky, Living Hour, Jenie Thai, Language Arts, Arrabio, Adictox, Counterfeit Jeans, the Allovers, Meisha & the Spanks, Viking Fell, Borys, and Black Thunder.

"Each year we've developed UP+DT's programming, our motto has been 'Any Venue, Any Day, You're Going to See a Great Show,'" executive director Jason Flammia said in a press release. "Between our first batch of artists and the additional announcements throughout the summer, we are holding true to that motto."
