Calgary's Viet Cong are set to release their self-titled album on January 20 through Flemish Eye/Jagjaguwar, and while they already had a heap of tour dates planned for 2015, they've just expanded their schedule and unveiled a music video.
Their previously confirmed itinerary already included January stops in Montreal and Toronto, in addition to U.S. and European dates. The latest leg expands the tour with more North American stops, including additional U.S. shows plus a hometown gig in Calgary. See the expanded calendar below.
Additionally, the band's spiky post-punk single "Continental Shelf" has gotten a rather unsettling NSFW video. This horror movie-style clip was shot by director Yoonha Park on 16mm film. The director said in a statement, "I wanted the video to feel like a reel of film that was purchased accidentally at a garage sale or found buried under someone's front porch. It's meant to be an incomplete picture — like screen tests from a lost movie."
