Wonderment Festival returns to Victoria for its eighth year this BC Day long weekend (August 4 to 7). The celebration of electronic and electro-acoustic music will host free daytime programming at the city's iconic outdoor venues — Fisherman's Wharf Park, Banfield Park, the Cameron Bandshell at Beacon Hill Park and the Songhees Park Plaza at the Johnson Street Bridge — as well as 19+ nighttime club events at Capital Ballroom and the Victoria Event Centre.

Organizers have now revealed that this year's lineup includes performances from the likes of Lisa Bella Donna, Khotin, DJ K1, Hannah Epperson, Matthew Cardinal, Desert Boom, Monster Planet, Tsimka & Michael Red, Trevor Lang, Thom Banks, the Righteous Rainbows of Togetherness, Okpk and more.

Unlike traditional festival infrastructure (which isn't appropriate for ambient performances in natural settings), Wonderment focuses on high-quality sound rather than vending or concession. Daytime event attendees are encouraged to pack their own picnics and support local restaurants and cafes surrounding the parks.

As aforementioned, all daytime performances are free, while individual event tickets for club performances range from $25 to $28 each. There are also limited weekend passes available that grant you entry to three nighttime performances for $60. See the festival's website for additional information and full lineup details.
