After unveiling the musical portion of Victoria, BC's Rifflandia this spring, fest organizers have now revealed the guest speakers taking part in the associated Thinklandia event. The fourth annual instalment of the workshop series will feature talks from the likes of former Sonic Youth member Kim Gordon, Against Me!'s Laura Jane Grace and Fucked Up frontman Damian Abraham.
Thinklandia takes place as a series of "creative events, workshops, speaker sessions, installations, and interactions" at Victoria's Dockside Green from September 9 to 13. The five-day event is produced by InterArts Centre in partnership with Rifflandia and Dockside Green, and precedes Rifflandia, which runs September 15 to 18.
Other speakers set to hit Thinklandia include DJ Spooky, skateboard legend Rodney Mullen, White House senior science advisor Knatokie Ford, Canadian poet and playwright D'bi Young, Wired founder Mark Fraunfelder, and music journalist Sam Sutherland. You'll find more details on the lineup over here.
