Victoria's Rifflandia to Host Broken Social Scene, De La Soul, City and Colour, Blackalicious

Since starting up in 2008, Rifflandia has brought out a mixture of veteran and burgeoning artists to Victoria, BC. This year's fest proves no different, with a number of well-known acts making their way to the Vancouver Island event.

Rifflandia, which runs September 22 to 25, has revealed the first wave of artists that have signed on to perform. While past years have seen the area's clubs and all-ages venues filled with concert activities, this year organizer have also added an outdoor stage. Acts that will be playing the two stages at Royal Athletic Park include City and Colour, Broken Social Scene, De La Soul, Blackalicious, Ra Ra Riot and the Cave Singers, among others.

Bands that will play the traditional venues include araabMUZIK, the Besnard Lakes, Braids, Giant Sand, J Mascis, LA Riots, the Pack AD, Tokimonsta, Bonjay, Karkwa, Library Voices, Malajube, Pepper Rabbit and Suuns, with more to be announced.

Early bird wristbands are already sold out, but the regularly priced wristbands will be sold through Rifflandia's website starting July 8.
