Summer is fast approaching, which means Vancouver Island will once again host its annual Victoria Skafest. Organizers have unveiled specifics for the 14th edition of the fest, which runs July 9 to 13 at various venues across Victoria, BC.
The fest has locked down a wide variety of acts, including performances from Australian vocal experimenters Dub FX & Flower Fairy, long-running ska-punk crew Mad Caddies and Canadian greats the Planet Smashers.
Other artists appearing at the Victoria Skafest include Tanya Stephens, Sierra Leone Refugee All Stars, Dave Hillyard & Rocksteady 7, Giraffe Aftermath, Dope Soda, Bananafish Dance Orchestra and more.
Though a full schedule has yet to arrive, all ages performances will take place at the main festival event location Ship Point, with 19-plus shows going down at Club 9One9, while various free shows and workshops will be scattered throughout the city.
