Many of the headliners have been announced for the third annual Rifflandia music festival in Victoria, BC, taking place September 23 to 26, and they're looking pretty darn good. Among the bigger names on the bill are Gord Downie of the Tragically Hip, Lee Ranaldo of Sonic Youth, Sarah Harmer and Aesop Rock.
Other key acts that will play various downtown venues in Victoria include Chad VanGaalen, Great Lake Swimmers, Chali 2na of Jurassic 5, Melissa Auf der Maur, the Wooden Sky, Yukon Blonde, Tanlines, Jon and Roy, Goodbye Beatdown and D.O.A. Of special mention are appearances by hometown heroes Hot Hot Heat, Frog Eyes, Jets Overheard and legendary punk ruffians the Dayglo Abortions. Many more headlining and supporting acts are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
Early bird wristbands for the festival go on sale at 10 a.m. on June 18 for $65 and can be bought here.
