Victims Killer

Victims Killer
Victims, from Stockholm, Sweden, by no means play melodic hardcore, East or West coast two-step mosh or any other currently overpopulated style. Their music remains from an era when studded leather jackets and poorly died green mohawks were the norm. But more importantly, they have captured a crusty punk rock sound. Drawing influences from British hardcore punks Discharge, the distaste for the establishment is almost palatable and their aural inspiration is ever present. Killer doesn't falter in respect to getting the pit moving, as it immediately grabs the punks by their liberty spikes with succinct opener "Victims In Blood #5." This album continues down the well-trodden retro-hardcore path with crusty vocals, up-tempo, punk-ish drumming and a few angular guitar riffs. However, Killer has all the elements to create a distinctive sound, time and feel, with unfettered angst and quality. (Deathwish Inc.)
