Vic Mensa

"All That Shines"

On-the-rise Chi-town rapper Vic Mensa has been cookin' this summer, with a litany of singles and freestyles left in his wake since June. He's heating things up again, having just delivered another track. It's the start of the weekend, and you can let his new "All That Shines" single light up your night.

It's a diamond-sharp track that has Mensa talking about "hanging with the big boys" before name-dropping big timers like Jay-Z, M.I.A., D'angelo and Diddy. He also slides in a reference to the Clipse's "Grindin'" while affecting a faux-Pharrell tone, takes heed of some snakes slithering around the rap game, and vibes out with a half-sung hook.

It's been a prolific period for the Windy City spitter, who happens to note in-song: "we came up quick."
