Versus Return with Their First New Album in Nearly a Decade
Underrated cult indie band Versus haven't released a new studio album since 2010 — but that's now about to change. On August 16, the NYC group will at last return with the new album Ex Voto on Ernest Jenning Record Co.

Following up on On the Ones and Threes, the new album comes in the wake of the recently released EP Ex Nihilo, as well as a few live dates. And while the new album doesn't arrive until later this summer, you can already stream the newly shared "Mummified" down below.

Ex Voto was recorded Ian James and mixed by Ray Ketchem. Speaking of the album, Versus' Richard Baluyut explained, "Ex Voto, (meaning 'from a vow') addresses divinity and creation, and was inspired by Mexican devotional paintings. They often depict catastrophe, and God's role in and out of catastrophe... But I imagined God being alien... which might be true, in a 'Starman' sort of way... Ancient aliens and all that."

Up above, you can see the album's artwork, while the tracklist is below. Versus also have a few hometown shows coming up, including an October show with Luna, and those are listed below as well.
