Verse Offshoot Violent Sons Announce Debut LP, Share 'Clean Boots'
Violent Sons, the new band featuring Verse vocalist Sean Murphy, have announced they'll be issuing their debut album Nothing As It Seems through feted hardcore imprint Bridge 9.

The digital version of the album arrives July 8, with a physical releases scheduled for sometime in September. The 10-song collection combines the talents of Murphy, Raindance drummer Evan White, Product of Waste guitarist Mikey Belcastro, and bassist Andrew Fortin, with a press release promising a "ferocious effort" twisting "Kurt Ballou-esque riffs," metallic touches and sociopolitical lyrics into its 22-minute runtime.

Violent Sons was conceived between Murphy and Belcastro in late 2013, with Murphy explaining in a statement that the pair had "dealt with a lot of similar things in life… mental illness, abuse, welfare, death, etc., so we wanted to use this project as a form of therapy for us and anyone else that might take something positive from a total negative."

You'll find the first taste from the New England crew's debut, a blast-heavy thrasher called "Clean Boots" that eventually settles into a heavier, more atmospheric groove, down below.
