Veronica Falls Announce Sophomore LP, 'Waiting For Something to Happen'

Back in 2011, London, UK indie-pop players Veronica Falls pleased the ears with their Exclaim!-approved, self-titled debut disc, and they've now announced that a sophomore follow-up is right around the corner. The LP is titled Waiting For Something to Happen, and arrives in North America February 12 through Slumberland, and on their home soil February 4 through Bella Union.

A press release explains that the 13-song set was produced by Rory Attwell (Male Bonding, The Vaccines), and reports that the group's second full-length offering is "easily more polished, more affecting, and more enduring than their peers would dream of making." You can judge for yourself by streaming the jangly first teaser, "Teenage," in the player down below.

Thematically, the LP is about "coming to terms with the process of growing up and eventually learning to face adult responsibility," with tracks like "So Tired" and "Everybody's Changing" reflecting changing tastes and evolving social scenes. Elsewhere, the disc apparently homes in on "ghostly romances and suicides." You can check the tracklisting down below.
