You’ll find news bites, blog, book and eatery reviews, recipes, blathering editorials and articles that translate as sanctimonious doctrine for the New Vegan Order. Seemingly intent upon becoming the media nexus of cool for all things vegan, T.O.F.U. reads like the straight-edge little sister of Vice, imparting more hipster attitude than well-researched information. Interviews with vegan members of Propagandhi and Immaculate Machine add some much-lacking balanced reasoning to the discourse on non-vegan tolerance. With their soapbox stance and health-unconscious advice like frying veggies with sesame oil, T.O.F.U. is going to have to shape up to effectively spill the beans.
