Veara Plot Canadian Tour on Behalf of 'Growing Up Is Killing Me'

BY Matthew RitchiePublished Oct 9, 2013

On Peach State quartet Veara's recent release, Growing Up is Killing Me, the Augusta, GA rock act channelled their inner high school, waxing metaphorical about adulthood while playing balls-to-the-wall pop punk. Well, the Blink-182-loving four-piece have taken the next logical step and decided to run away from home, this time embarking on a 10-day tour of Canada's eastern half on behalf of their newest disc.

While Veara have several U.S. dates lined up for October, the Canadian trek kicks off on November 1 at Quebec City's punk-friendly L'Autre Zone, with the four-piece heading east for a quick jaunt through the Maritimes before retracing their steps back towards Upper Canada. Joining them on the Canuck run will be Southern Ontario pop punkers July, who will be hitting every stop on the tour in support of their upcoming What We Signed Up For LP, due out November 7 on TDR Records.

And while July may have no new material available before the tour begins, you can rest easy knowing Veara's September 20 release is now available for streaming through their label Epitaph's YouTube channel. As the label puts it, the album marks "a huge sonic step forward for this powerful band" through its "ear-candy layered power chords."
