Koch Records has outdone any tribute Dwell has released to date with this salute to the immortal TS, combining an excellent and diverse line-up with amazing liner notes, pictures and a hilarious behind the scenes look at some old TS workings in the packaging. Some of the bands who rise to the challenge here include Cradle of Filth, with their jaw-dropping rendition of "The Fire Still Burns," as well as Nashville Pussy, Vision of Disorder, the Step Kings (who they are I have no idea, but they almost steal this show) and the somewhat surprising inclusion of Joan Jett. Most importantly, this compilation serves as a reminder that Twisted Sister were indeed an important and radical underground metal band, not the bubblegum novelty '80s act they disintegrated into and are unfortunately remembered as.
