'Quarter Life Crisis' (Mint Records compilation)

BY Calum SlingerlandPublished Nov 24, 2016

Vancouver's Mint Records are gearing up to celebrate Christmas a little earlier than most with their annual Ridiculously Early Xmas Party. In the spirit of gift-giving, the first 50 attendees at their party will get their hands on limited cassette compilation Quarter Life Crisis, but if you can't make it to the left coast for the celebrations, Exclaim! has your first listen to the celebratory comp right here.

Quarter Life Crisis celebrates 25 years of music-making by the long-running indie label and features 25 tracks from label artists and friends, as well as some deep cuts from the vault. In the lengthy tracklist, one can find contributions from Jay Arner, Faith Healer, Fake Tears, Monomyth, Duotang, Tough Age and more. The humorous artwork, which you can see above, was created by Michael Mateyko.

Mint's Ridiculously Early Xmas Party is set for November 26 at the Astoria in Vancouver, and will feature performances from Arner, Supermoon, Fake Tears and Faith Healer, along with Woolworm and Aaron Read. Proceeds from the party will support Girls Rock Camp Vancouver. Advance tickets are $10 each and will soon be available at Red Cat Records, Neptoon Records and Zulu Records.
